Trails of West Marin
This small-format map shows the hidden public lands between Fairfax and Olema – Marin County Open Space District's Loma Alta, Roy's Redwoods, Maurice Thorner Memorial, French Ranch, White Hill, and Gary Giacomini preserves; Samuel P. Taylor State Park, and MMWD's Sky Oaks and Pine Mountain areas, plus 15 miles of the Bay Area Ridge Trail.
A recent addition is the southern half of Point Reyes National Seashore, starting from the Bear Valley, Five Brooks, and Palomarin Trailheads, including Coast, Wildcat, Glen, and Sky backpack camps. It's by no means a complete map of the Seashore, but is a good introduction to the core trail network (best explored fully on Redwood Hikes Press' or Tom Harrison's maps).
This map grew out of an old Trails of San Geronimo Valley map we drew for the Inkwells Bridge dedication (you may see it there still!). This interim edition is available only as a photocopy or inkjet print, sold directly. Our tiny print runs let us keep this map totally up to date, but the material and labor costs make it too expensive to resell. We may print it on the back of the 4th edition of Trails of Northeast Marin in late 2021, since they overlap a lot.
